“And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” (Isaiah 54:13) Our Sunday School meets each week at 10 AM, the same time as our Sunday church services. We welcome students from pre-school to age 20 into our Sunday School. Here, children learn to apply the teachings of Christian Science to all aspects of their lives including how to heal issues with relationships, school, health, confidence and morality. Our students are taught from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Their first studies will include the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and Christ Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, including the Beatitudes. We teach our youngest students that they were created in God's image and likeness and that God is always with them and taking care of them. We teach them the Bible stories that will help them learn how to heal situations they may face and to understand the importance of obedience in the healing process. Our school-age students will learn how to deal with issues with school, friends, sports, family, and health. As our students move on into middle school and high school we will also include how to face issues with drugs, alcohol, smoking, and relationships. We will not preach to them but will teach them how to think for themselves, and to understand why it is important morally and spiritually to not experiment in such areas. Most of all, our students learn that God is all-loving and ever-present – and that He is always caring for and guiding us.
